Nice story and such a great narrator! So sad in parts though and I really loved the character of Suzannah! Not sure what Belly saw in Conrad though as he seemed to be kinda not that nice, even since they were tiny! It was an easy read/listen though apart from the sad parts that had me tearing up! When I’d seen the TV show pop up I didn’t know what it was about and just listened out of curiosity and now I’m glad I listened to this first! I’m a little scared to read the next in the series though incase she doesn’t make it!

I too have spent every summer of my younger years at the beach and I really could just taste the salt and smell the ocean from the words. Lola Tung’s performance brings it all alive. Exactly how I’d imagine Belly would sound like!
