This was such a feel good and sweet romance. I had the best time reading it.
Dean was the kindest most wonderful person. Full of joy and love, pure sunshine. I loved his character.
Jonas was wonderful too and I loved how he took care of Dean and defended him. There was a part that his actions upset me but I could understand where he was coming from and he made it better in the end so I forgive him.
And Ruby, Jona's daughter, was the cutest!
I loved reading Deam and Jonas' journey to their happily ever after!
The narrator was brilliant and brought the story and the characters to life beautifully.

The Sunny Side is the first book of The Model Clinic series, and it is a great start! Here we get to know Dean, who was previously mentioned in other books of Lily Morton (like Deal Makes for example) as the man a little bit “out of the real world”, concentrated on his own beauty and pleasure, but here we get to know the real one, the one hiding behind the fassade. A Dean who’s completely different from the man we imagined before. And of course, we are introduced to Jonas as well, the Model Agency’s owner, and Dean’s biggest crush.
Moreover, we meet again other characters that we met in Lily’s stories: Mal and Cadan, Asa (Dean’s stepbrother) and Jude, the little Billy, as well as Ruby, Jonas’ child, plus funny dogs with improbable names.
As always in Lily’s books we have a lot of humour, sassy people (like Pip, Jonas’ assistant), and a lot of love. Lily Morton takes us on a journey through Dean and Jonas’ love story and we cannot do anything else than fall in love with everyone and every part of the story.
Moreover, in this case, being an audiobook, we also have Joel Leslie’s voice. He is great in narrating the story and I loved the way he reproduced the different accents, the French one of Jonas and Olivier, and also Dean’s particular British accent.
I’m a huge fan of Lily’s books, and of Joel Leslie as a narrator, they never disappointed me before, and they didn’t do it this time.
Thumbs up for them! Absolutely recommended!

I have already listened to several audio books by Lily Morten, because I like her humor. And she didn't disappoint me here either. I liked her story and I liked Jonas from the beginning, although he is more the grumpy type. Jonas has a modeling agency, was married and has a really cute kid. I also found Dean very likeable, he is a model and starts working for Jonas. He is the opposite of Jonas, always friendly and he takes care of those he loves. The story is emotional and I highly recommend it!
Joel Lesly did a brilliant job bringing the book to life. I could tell all the characters apart very well and feel every emotion.

I read The Sunny Side almost a year ago when it was first published and I loved it. Now I’ve loved it all over again while listening to Joel Leslie’s marvelous performance of this wonderful book. He uses unique voices for each character and it is easy to distinguish one from another.

The Sunny Side is another great romantic comedy, with a side of serious, by Lily Morton. Jonas Durand is way too serious all of the time. Super model Dean Jacobs helps to lighten him up and Jonas isn’t sure what’s hit him.

I loved everything about this book. I even loved it when Jonas was a complete a-hole because I knew that he would eventually realize what a jerk he’d been to Dean and then come groveling. Jonas’ daughter, Ruby, is a gem and she added a lot to this story.

The Sunny Side is a thoroughly enjoyable grumpy/sunshine story. I LOL’d more than once while listening to it and had to stop and play portions out loud for my hubby because he wanted to know what was so funny. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series. I hope that Pip gets his own book!
