Nora Beady, the only female student at a prestigious medical school in Bologna, is a rarity. This is a highly enjoyable and fascinating tale of integrity, strength, medical procedure and love. It is constantly interesting and often thrilling and suspenseful. It showcases the best and worst qualities in humans with great insight and storytelling skills. It is a sequel to the first part of the story (which is just as good) and a paints an authentic picture of llife in e 1800’s. The characters are very well formed and the narrator is superb, taking on the different parts with flawless expertise.
