About this listen

A broken sword. A fractured timeline. Three friends racing to save reality itself.

Thirteen-year-old Dylan never expected to find a legendary sword in his parents' attic, let alone one tied to the fate of history itself.

When Dylan, along with his best friends Mahi and Lloyd, uncover the hilt of a broken sword, they’re swept into a world where time has changed, the past almost forgotten, and magic is as real as the danger closing in on them. Guided by cryptic clues and pursued by forces that would rewrite history for their own dark purposes, the friends must piece together the weapon’s missing blade before reality itself unravels.

From the quiet streets of their hometown to realms lost in time, Dylan, Mahi, and Lloyd face impossible odds, unravel ancient secrets, and learn that courage is forged in the most unexpected places.

Fast-paced, imaginative, and brimming with adventure, The Sword and the Shattered Timeline is perfect for fans of time-twisting fantasy, loyal friendships, and epic quests where every decision can change the course of history.

Love for The Sword and the Shattered Timeline:

"As a proud Welshman it’s so lovely to see my culture celebrated, and in such a fun way too! Reminds me a lot of all the fantasies I would have in school of fighting with Merlin as part of the round table. AND THERES A DINOSAUR TOO. Instantly sucks you in. You’re gonna love it." — @Dheanasaur, 200k+ Instagram Followers.

"If The Goonies and Jumanji was about Welsh mythology!

A story full of adventure, friendship and a great way to introduce young people to Welsh folklore, landscapes and legends. A really lovely read and a great choice for a bedtime story that people young and old will fly through. Plenty of action, twists and turns and cinematic set pieces that would satisfy any fantasy or mythology lover."

This book is fast paced and you are pulled in almost immediately. I liked the portal to a different time, full of twists and turns but still keeping some familiar parts of ancient legends. It’s a story of friendship filled with lore and quests. I loved the Welsh setting and having Aubrey Parsons narrate was a genius move.

Welsh myth is such a rich and largely untapped vein in historical fiction. There are many tales of Arthur and Merlin but none that come to mind that weave in the place it actually happened. It’s wonderful to hear a story that places Arthur and Merlin back where they belong and gives children an opportunity to listen to the legends in a way that makes sense but uses a little artistic flair to bring it into modern times. The voice acting also doesn’t shy away from the welsh nature of the story and brings it to life beautifully.

A beautiful interpretation
