I keep going back and forth about this but I cannot deny that I was incredibly bored half the time. The other half I was wondering what about the story made me keep listening - until the ending when a lot of it made more sense. Still, I just didn't click with any of the characters, especially not for the first half of the book. The second half was definitely better but I'm glad I got through it. Currently listening to the 2nd book which is off to a much better start. Here's hoping!

Loved this!

It was recommended to me based on the ending, and I agree. The first 3 quarters were fairly pedestrian (though enjoyable enough), but the last quarter more than makes up for it.

The narration was decent, though I found the voice he does for the main character a bit annoying.

Enjoyable romp with a brilliant ending

I adore this book but found sections that when reading it were really gripping just merged into the story as a whole when listening. The narrator's tone is lovely but everything seems a bit monotone.

Wonderful story, something missing in the narratio

I wasn't sure what ti expect from this story - I really enjoyed it. Narrator had a voice that reminded me of Tom Hiddleston - which is a bonus

Lovely story well told

I really liked the twists and turns in the story which was told with a lot of humour. I have read the books but this was even better.
The narrator was very good. Normally I listen with the sound turned to 1.05 or even 1.10 speed if the narrator puts on a I AM SPEAKING SLOWLY AND CLEARLY voice, but this guy spoke at a good pace.

Clever story
