Summary

A newly revised and updated edition of the internationally best-selling spiritual classic, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, written by Sogyal Rinpoche, is the ultimate introduction to Tibetan Buddhist wisdom. An enlightening, inspiring, and comforting manual for life and death that the New York Times calls, “The Tibetan equivalent of [Dante’s] The Divine Comedy,” this is the essential work that moved Huston Smith, author of The World’s Religions, to proclaim, “I have encountered no book on the interplay of life and death that is more comprehensive, practical, and wise.”

This 30th Anniversary edition includes a foreword by the Dalai Lama and is masterfully narrated by Lorraine Velez.

I read paper book some 15 years ago. It shook me to the core then, back in my 20's and made me question the deeper meaning of life.

As a motorcyclist witnessing accidents and passing of those involved I often think of the wise words that unprepared, unexpected death is the kind of the worst one. And cannot escape the feeling of compassion for those involved. So after witnessing another accident recently, I felt the urge to "read" it again in audio format.

Awe inspiring and life changing it feels even more now. Narration couldn't be better. Probably the most important book for any living and soon departing human. For anyone aware of being also a soul, a consciousness, not just a head - brain - ego and mere body.

Not an ordinary book
