Adventuring doesn't ever really end, does it?

Classes evolve, roles shift, and in the city of Liscor, change is happening. The Horns of Hammerad are growing as adventurers, rising in the eyes of the city and the surrounding lands. They've survived, and they've leveled, but new levels also bring new problems. Izril is still facing turmoil as nobles fight and squabble while Liscor breathes again and heals, trying to find a new way forward.

The best cure for dark days? Games! And none know it better than the oldest adventurers, who've lived through countless struggles. Niers Astoragon is the greatest [Strategist] of Baleros, a leader in one of the Four Great Companies, and his students vie for his approval. They'll compete to become the best new generation of talented leaders and commanders. Glory, mischief, and competition await!

What they've forgotten is that there are never low stakes with Niers. Compete for fame, compete for fun, but remember, there's no such thing as a bloodless game when you play against the Titan of Baleros.

The first couple of books I grew to like and then love The Wandering Inn. Eleven books in I don't remember any other series that managed to deeply move me the way this series does constantly. It has very likeable characters and even although it is a niche genre within fantasy, it is hands down a masterpiece. Parts of that is owed to the just as masterful narration by Andrea Parsneau, which has become my currently most favourite narrator by far.

Anyone even remotely interested in the genre is missing out not experiencing this story.

One of the greatest fantasy series ever writtten

I understand the need for background character filling, but I enjoy seeing what the Owner of the Inn gets into (good or bad). I was just about to call it quits on the series, then "she arrived" with her usual bungling.

Took a long while to get back to Erin

the adventure has expanded quite a bit and I can't wait to see how the stories will collide in the future, Erin is a force of nature that can shape the world around her. well read as usual.

This really felt like a return to TWI that I fell in love with. The last couple have been as well written as always but with a bleaker theme so this was absolutely like spring arriving. As with every book I didn’t want it to end (at some point I must learn to ration myself rather than binging the whole book in one go!) can’t wait for the next instalment. Perfectly narrated *chefs kiss*

So many laughs and loves
