Summary
Experience the awesomeness of my unexpected voyage to an undiscovered land where I survive shipwrecks, arena death match spectacles, rampaging rhinoceraptors, naked and rather surly giants, and even dragons! Well, a dragon.... All in my pursuit of fame and glory.
Every word of it is true. Totally true. How do I know? Because it's all about me. Gustav Gustavson, Legendary Viking Warrior.

The style of the book is somewhat in the style of the subject recounting his adventures to a biographer and on the whole it does work pretty well, but some of the nods to the audience are a little overdone at times, but the light-hearted tone of the book doesn't come at the expense of the plot, it mostly helps to give it a bit more character.
While the narrator generally did a good job, I was not entirely convinced by his choice of accent for the main character, it was a little jarring at first and never really seemed like a perfect fit even once I had got used to it.
Overall, this was a fun listen and given the way that the author has left himself enough threads to continue, I would be happy to return for more adventures of Gustav at a later date.
