About this listen

Most books written about golf are either by famous golfers or famous mental coaches. I am neither. I am, however, a Tournament Golfer. —Mike Booker

For over 50 years, Mike has competed against and alongside some of the most accomplished Tournament Golfers including Jack Nicklaus, Fred Couples, and Arnold Palmer. Through practice and observation, he came to recognize that certain common traits define the Tournament Golfer mindset. He didn’t invent them; he just put them all together in one place.

He has written principally for the Golfer-Who-Plays-Tournaments who wants to become a Tournament Golfer and for the Tournament Golfer who wants to win more tournaments. This book is for those who wish to compete. But if competition is not your goal, you will find the “Life Hacks” at the ends of the chapters to be valuable to you on and off the golf course.

Any meaningful accomplishment I have experienced in my business as a successful financial advisor, or in my personal life, can be traced back to my experiences on the golf course and what I learned there about myself and others. What I have learned, I share with you.

This audiobook is expertly read by Lee Goettl, with audio engineering by Matthew Kulewicz, MPSE. It was produced and published by Echo Point Books & Media, an independent bookseller in Brattleboro, Vermont.

this book tackles the fact that golf is a game not a performing art. aka the true game of golf is judged by a score not an opinion and how to navigate this but from perspective of a human being.

This is another important missconception that this book addresses: Golf is played by human beings and as such our real opponent is ourselves.

Anyone who's played this wonderfully madding game long enough, will have questions that this book answers.

Thank you, Mike 🙏🏼

one of the best 'golf' books I've read.
