I discovered this book through a list of recommendations for books to read in Turkey, & indeed listened to most of it whilst staying in Istanbul. It's a romance - the story of an extraordinary journey - via jeep & camel -along the Black Sea coast into Armenia, and for two of the characters, beyond. It is told so lightly, but there is a great sadness in it, too. Quirky and strange, and still enchanting, despite being very much of its time in certain perspectives. Claire Corbett is the perfect narrator.

A wonderful stumble-upon, beautifully narrated
