About this listen

The entire four-book Trackers series in one bundle: over 30 hours of post-apocalyptic survival fiction and action.

No power. No rules. No help coming.

The end of the world is just the beginning of the hunt....

Five days ago, North Korea detonated three strategically placed nuclear warheads over the United States, triggering an electromagnetic pulse that crippled the country. A second attack destroyed the nerve center of America in a nuclear blast that flattened the nation's capital. As the government falls apart in the aftermath, the survivors must decide how far they will go to save the ones they love.

In this lawless new world where the most ruthless thrive while innocents suffer, a sheriff, a retired marine, a nurse, and a senator turned secretary of defense are faced with keeping their communities and families safe. One thing is certain - they won't be able to save everyone. Not with their humanity still intact.

The explosive Trackers series is a harrowing story of survival and a realistic depiction of what an EMP attack and the aftermath might look like from former Homeland Security disaster mitigation officer and New York Times best-selling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith. Packed full of action, survival tips, and a unique twist on the EMP genre, the Trackers series has thrilled hundreds of thousands of fans across the world.

Mostly an enjoyable listen, but what's that saying? Fool me once, twice, thrice… Four, five, six, seven… plenty of good people died because of rookie mistakes, and World War II? Between two countries? if that's your benchmark for a world war, we're on what? World War 33? 53?? a few continuity there is your notice as well, sat on the front row but people have to stand up to let them get past? I think if this hadn't come in a box set, I'd have struggled to get past the first book, the premise is good, the descent into anarchy is probably spot on, but for the situation so many people have you screaming! Don't do that". then thinking, "yeah you deserved that". The narration is good, the deaths gratuitous, the buddies bad. an easy listening book that will scratch an itch, but occasionally chase it somewhere else. my gripes are petty pedantic little things, I think because I've enjoyed his other works that have had real fictional value, that this storyline based on a potential reality brought out the critic in me 😂

As the foreword says "suspend your belief", well colour me suspended.

I loved this series and help but think that it would make an outstanding TV series.

Excellent Series

First of the fact you get 4 books for 1 credit makes this a steal!
The Story its self was an interesting change of pace from the usual post/ZA stories

The murder mystery too it gave it an extra twist as well as having to deal with the main event of the EMP.
I did enjoy the story surrounding the inhabitants of EsTees Park and the mix of native American folklore was pretty cool.
throw in the Nazis and the other lunatic fringe groups in Colorado and its a fun story. would have liked to see a little more involvement from north Koreans but maybe that a future story? would hope so!
I have to admit the it was a little staining for me when the story switched to the Montgomery story line. I don't think I enjoyed her character really which may be why, found her to be whinging all the time and just got a little annoying to be honest and I got a little lost when her bodyguard got a side line from that. didn't really think he had that much of a role to play in things

that said still a really great series, hope there is more to follow would love to see it close out a few things!

as for the narration: once I got into it was no trouble. he is a little different in the beginning but Pinchot delivered the story really well and is definitely a great narrator, just give him the chance!

Very Enjoyable Series
