Really well read. Love the sarcasm and mental asides. Very funny in places. 5 stars

Loving this series

I came to these on audible having read the first paperback. The story moves quickly and if you’re a fan of the Rivers of London or Dresden files books you will probably enjoy these. It is a nice change that the main character is a RAF helicopter pilot, albeit a seemingly very capable one, rather than a special forces soldier etc.

This story moves along at a good pace and expands on the magical world. I enjoyed it.

A really fun series

This is the second book in the series and the characters are becoming more rounded and engaging. I like the way that aspects of book 1 are tying in nicely with the overall story arc, and in unexpected ways. What I find enjoyable about this writer is that he doesn’t go for the obvious. The modern magic/urban fantasy genre is a well-trodden path by now and yet I feel that the books still have new dimensions to explore. The narration is also absolutely first class.

Hugely enjoyable story and narration
