Annette did it again, a brilliant conclusion to yet another great storyline to tie in with the rest of Guild Codex. Love how the characters evolve! Can’t wait to tuck into Kit’s newest adventure!

So far I listened to basically all books from the Guild Codex series and found them to be extremely entertaining and well done. "Unveiled" was so far my favorite series in the "universe" with a protagonist that always makes you wonder, if the book is sneakily presenting us an antagonist to the Crow&Hammer. It was for me not always easy to see if I am now following the "good guy" in the story, due to Sabers "stabby" way of solving problems. I really liked this aspect, it moves away from the fairy tale - bookwriting style of clearly defined good and evil.

I think the only aspect of the story (and Guild Codex stories in general) that I have to criticize a bit is the authors tendency to shape a characters physique after their personality and vice versa. Like, for example, a friendly and nice guy will automatically also have the body and abs of a greek god. A dude is overweight and balding? He is a perv that has his eyes more on Sabers hips than on her eyes. It's a tendency that becomes tiring quickly. Now that I think about it, I can not remember a single male character in the entire Guild Codex Series, that does not look like a model and is not toxic, a perv or in any other way presented as annoying or a creep.

But besides that the book is well written and the narrator is doing an amazing job. Saber becomes a lot more "tame" in this book, which is a nice character development, even though I kinda miss the borderline crazy, Irish folk music humming vet tech, stabbing people in her free time because they were mean to animals. But hey I guess you find new hobbies.

So this book is definitely worth a try and I hope the Guild Codex Series will get more books in the future. And hey, maybe we'll get Steve, the average looking farm dude who is neither a model nor a perv, just a dude doing his job and living his life. Pretty please?

The final book of the Bladesong Druid’s story is entertaining and satisfying in equal measure. It was great to see old friends and to to have those who had been mistreated in early life finally achieve the contentment they deserve.

All the titles set in this world have been fantastic. I would recommend them all. The narration is excellent and very easy to listen to.
