if you love mafia romance then this book is a great edition to your collection. jumping straight into the Pawn because that cliffhanger left my jaw on the floor.I just know that Cassian is going to burn this city for her and paint it all red...

Excellent plot, the characters are well constructed and developed, they aren't annoying, the secondary characters are well constructed and add a lot to the plot.

Secrets are well kept and revealed at the right time.

I loved it, I'm already jumping to the second book.

Female narrator has such a cheerful voice that collides with the character so bad. When she interprets man voice, he sounds like a caveman with learning disabilities. Dialogues are horrible with inner thoughts not following the story, very irritating. It is hard to believe that a woman in danger, as she is would ever act like that.
