Great story line unique

Stupid title put me off listening to it until I read a review that said ignore the title it really is a good book. I enjoyed it very much although the sex scenes (gratefully few) wouldn't have been missed. An out of the ordinary regency romance novel with a murder mystery plot. An interesting insight to another side of life in that era.

good start but becomes weak until it finally has to rely on sex scenes to fill in the plot.

This story has far more depth to it than the juvenile, clickbait title will lead you to believe. It actually has a dedicated plot line with serious themes and interesting, relatable historical political intrigue, all nicely woven around a Georgian/Regency(?) era romance.

Having said that, there’s no Almack’s, Masked Balls, Ridotto’s et al. and it doesn’t suffer because of their absence. This is a great view of how “the other half live”, even if the other half is still a titled Earl.

Don’t let the title put you off, I think that that’s the only mistake in this easy to read book. The series looks interesting, this is a great first step.

The narrator is fabulous and adds to the charm of this story.
