This author really brings to life what it's like for many inner city estates in the U.K. It was a good read, I just felt a little short changed by the abruptness of the ending but that could just be me not picking up the message she wanted to convey. looking forward to trying the next title so it certainly hasn't put me off.

I did listen all the way through and quite enjoyed it but what was lacking for me was even a single character I liked or felt sympathy for. Every character displayed the worst of human nature and all got their come uppance but I really didn’t care as they were all such despicable human beings. To really be invested in a story I need to care about the characters and these left me cold. The narrator was good.

Disappointing view of humanity
