Summary

"The Voyages of Sinbad" from the Arabian Nights - Sinbad is a Baghdad merchant who acquires great wealth by going on seven voyages. He describes these to a poor discontented porter, Hinbad, to show him that wealth can only be obtained by enterprise and personal exertion.

The Jungle Book - Animal stories set in India. The central figure is a human boy, Mowgli, brought up by a wolf as her cub and instructed in the lore of the jungle.

"The Flying Trunk". A tale of a magical trunk that allows the owner to go wherever they wish.

This audiobook was not the best audiobook that I have come across. The stories were disjointed and didn't seem to flow together. Kipling's Jungle Book stories were rather short in length and were over quickly. The Sinbad stories were also short in length as well. The Flying Trunk story was minuscule in comparison. The redeeming quality is that it was narrated by well known actors such as Michael Palin and Terry Jones. Their voices were pleasant to hear.
When compared to other audiobooks with a single story length of 7 hours approximately or more, this collection of Listen audiobook productions pales into insignificance. I enjoyed the Sinbad stories and the Jungle Book stories but not so with The Flying Trunk story.
