About this listen

At the height of the Cold War, officials at the Ministry of Defence conducted a highly secret investigation into unusual events that occurred along a strip of rugged Pembrokeshire coastline. The events made national headlines: objects hovering in the sky, ghostly figures peering into windows and poltergeists plaguing a terrified family.

Thirty years later, the official files were finally released for public scrutiny and prompted a new witness to come forward. His testimony rocked the very foundations of the British Government. This is his story.

Critic reviews

"Spring's fast-paced but often deliciously creepy novel has an orphaned hero, a spooky, isolated farmhouse and things that go bump in the night...highly readable." ( Herald Scotland)
"A triumph of creativity.... Pick it up as soon as you can and see if you can unravel the mystery of the Broad Haven Triangle - the conclusion will shock and amaze you." ( Vada Magazine)

I was just hoping for more. It is one of, if not my favourite of sub genre's. Having walked the Pembrokeshire coastline I was very much looking forward to this. consequently it may have set my expectations a little too high. Narrator was very good, but the story just didn't grab me.

Story didn't impress me.

Couldn't wait to listen to it again. Addictive listening with fantastic narration . Made all the more creepy by the fact that I live in Wales.

Creepy

This is a bit of a mixed bag. The premise behind the story is okay but loses something in the telling. It is very like HP Lovecraft, but not quite as creepy. I actually found it quite amusing. I did listen to it right through to the end and will confess to having enjoyed it to a certain extent but it was missing something. The narrator did well. I was reminded of Richard Burton in the original War of the Worlds recording (Jeff Wayne)

I don't know if I would get another Neil Spring audio book though...

Bit of a disappointment but did enjoy it!

I really enjoyed this imaginative story. Very well written and very well read. Thank you.

Superb

Really good story fictionally based on truths. It swings your mind from one idea to the next and ends up with something completely different which many would also consider the truth....

Really riveting.
