This was really unexpected and I loved the ending. I’m really not one for alien stories, I guess because it feels more plausible than other fantasy book tropes so it’s harder to dispel your own ideas or beliefs about it. It was done so well however, that I found myself really enjoying it. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is excellent and differs her tone depending on which era she is reading from very well.

I don’t think any other author could have pulled this off so excellently.
