About this listen

It is 1892 and the grisly killings of Whitechapel prostitutes by a man dubbed Jack the Ripper remain a frightening enigma. And in a packed Old Bailey courtroom, distinguished soldier John Adinett is sentenced to hang for the inexplicable murder of his friend Martin Fetters. Though Thomas Pitt should receive praise for providing key testimony in the Fetters investigation, Adinett has powerful friends....

This could have been several hours shorter. Thankfully the narrator kept up the pace.
But this is a rehash of the plot of the Johnny Depp film From Hell, or maybe vice versa!

Very long-winded but great narration

This isn't my favourite book in the Thomas Pitt series, but it's a good story and it was very well read by Terence Hardiman. I like Anne Perry books but unfortunately many of the Anne Perry books on Audible are read by Deidra Whelan and she reads so badly that they are impossible to listen to. I had read this book before but it was worth buying it again because Terence Hardiman read it so well.

A Good Story
