Story and characters are performed well, the accents are a nice touch though the FMC is a little breathy at times. Fast paced action with the main story drawn out and continuing from the first; all the secondary characters are fleshed out somewhat adding depth and sometimes even clarity to their motivations. Overall an enjoyable and fun listen with enough originality to keep interest throughout. Will be keeping an eye out for the third one for sure.

My goodness this book! For so much to happen in a book that is nowhere near as long as many fantasy books, I am beside myself. The twists!! So so much I just did not see coming, the FEELINGS this book has forced me through! I feel I need to gather myself but it’s 1am and I had no idea how I’m going to force the adrenaline from my body to allow me to sleep. Excellent excellent excellent!
