very much a middle book bit enjoyable nonetheless. definitely want the next one now.

Like many of this genre, this story is spread over three books and having listened to all three now, I can say with confidence: it didn't need to be. This book already felt like the filler middle book when I was listening to it and now having finished the story, this book feels pretty unnecessary apart from possibly two or three key moments which are needed for the next book. It's well written and well read, but ultimately fairly uneventful.
