Very good listen. Folklore

I don't know why people are giving negative feedback about the narrators, I thought this was some of the best audible narration I've come across. The stories are genuinely creepy, some more gripping than others but I enjoyed this so much.

Amazing narration

This is a little like a Christmas box of Quality Street chocolates (although other chocolate mixes are also available). Some of these short stories are utterly compelling, some downright confounding and some very straightforward. I read this for a book club book and possibly may not have persevered had I not had peer pressure to do so. Overall it was worth ploughing through the mundane stories (the coffee creams) to savour the little gems (the toffee crackles) that unexpectedly popped up amongst them. If you like a dark gothic slant to your fiction there will be something in this collection you will love.

A mixed bag.

Good variety of authors and story lines but I always prefer a ghost story to horror so was a little disappointed

More horror than ghost stories

The stories are excellent but one of the narrators is awful. She speaks so quickly and gabbles the words, often reading inaccurately. I’ve never had to listen on 0.75 and 0.80 speed before but for her readings I had to.
