A lovely story and delve into the women’s rights movement in the 70s , 80, and 90s.

An excellent listen

This was quite painful to listen to. It is the second time that a Stephanie Butland Book has made me cry and caused me to reflect on my own life. I was on the fringes of all these Woman’ Rights campaigns at the time and it is extraordinary that a younger writer can depict the anger and emotions so accurately. I had forgotten how it felt but am very glad that my own, also less than perfect, memories have been jogged.

this is the first modem feminist novel I have read , I enjoyed the was it went back and forth between the years, the pictures it painted, use of historical facts intertwined within the novel. took me back to my youth and encouraged me to look at my own attitude back then as a women born in the late fifties.

I liked Leoni and Vi's friendship. It was unusual but it lasted though they were very different.
