The Zombie War was the longest and most costly conflict that Britain has ever waged. No one knows the true figure of those who lost their lives in the long years of the war and tragically too many have lost their lives in the years of peace that have followed. Life expectancy is a shadow of what it was and many diseases and ailments that science thought it had eradicated have returned. Many of those who survived the war have since died, taking with them the stories and memories of the most devastating and important struggle that mankind has ever waged. This book is the record of those stories, an attempt to remember the actions of those who lived through this devastating conflict. From the first stages of the outbreak, to the chaos of the mass panic and finally to the death of the last infected, it is a homage to those who saved our nation.

Story was interesting telling of key parts of the war (like world war z)

Brilliant performance and narration really impressed.

Brilliant book and performance

As above, wished it was longer, nice for a book such as this not to be set in the US where every 6th person is a heavily armed seal or such, or so it seems, refreshing

WW Z, in Britain, not original but was enjoyable

A tale well written, gripping, a worthy sequel to WWZ, Max Brooks could not have done any better. What happened to the UK during WWZ? listen to this to find out. Aubrey Parson is OK but not a patch on Steven Weber or Will Patton. The cheap looking thumbnail, advertising the book is very poor, should be changed to attract more potential listeners. mentions of the redeker plan and quislings tie it in with WWZ. Well worth using a credit.

As good as World War Z!

Not my usual genre but I gave this one a fair crack. It had been recommended to me so I figured I’d give it a go and approached it with an open mind.

What a story, in short. Rich, detailed and very eloquently written, the author’s powers of description are superb. You can really imagine yourself in the shoes of the characters describing their ‘experiences’. The story itself is very cleverly woven together and keeps you engaged from the start. Like I say, I do not usually follow zombie novels whatsoever but this author avoids the ridiculousness that some of these pseudo horror stories can sometimes lurch to. This is rather believable and touches on a number of relevant themes in this post-Covid environment.

Thoroughly entertaining and definitely recommended!

Very good!
