I love these books. The thought of a woman sherif, a true historical character, really brought the stories alive

Loved this book. It brought to life the injustices women endured as the law and men’s attitudes to women’s rights made their life so unfair and unjust. Ela did something towards improving the lot under her jurisdiction .
