I’m profoundly moved by this debut novel. What a beautiful story and so well written. The narrator brought Theo to life and I can’t stop thinking about it. The world needs more Theo’s. My favourite read of the last decade by far.

The most beautiful book I have ever read. It’s gentle unfolding captured my heart, intrigued my mind and satisfied my soul. Allen,s language is poetic and descriptive while carrying the reader along in the flow of a meandering river.
As the book reached its final third I started to talk to friends about what I read. I became mindful of a verse in the Bible , Phillipians 4:8
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things. “
I am a lover of crime and thriller books but have found in Theo of Golden a place to be still, find rest and let my thoughts be filled with all of the above. I’m so grateful for this experience.

This is an incredible debut by Allen Levi. A story that will touch your heart and soul. The best novel I have read for years and I would consider in my all time top three books of all time. I won’t spoil it for you by giving away details. Just find a space in your day and enjoy.
