A relatable, honest and inspiring collection of inside thoughts about love, life, and personal growth – the good, the bad, the laugh-out-loud funny – from viral storyteller and queen of oversharing, Milly Goldsmith.

Milly has captured the online hearts of her community through her single life diaries and refreshingly vulnerable takes on self-love and navigating her 20s as a work-in-progress, figuring it all out as she goes along and taking us with her for the ride. THINGS I TOLD MY NOTES APP is told straight from the dark corners of Milly’s notes app – to inspire other women to rebuild confidence, make space to be ourselves and start feeling more seen and at last less apologetic and fearful about being ‘too much’.

From battling imposter syndrome in brand meetings to navigating the chaotic world of serial dating and finally learning to stop romanticising those brief, heart-fluttering moments with cute strangers in the streets of New York, Milly gives space to every thought you felt too embarrassed to say out loud.

Think of Milly as the girl you meet in a club toilet whose advice changes your life forever. In a world obsessed with comparison, this is the book-shaped dose of real talk and comfort we desperately all need.

Phenomenal book showing the deepest/weirdest thoughts aren’t that uncommon. Overthinking and embarrassment is something we all permit our brains to dictate. Milly has written a book that opens this conversation and allows us to realise we are all the same however the outside world may perceive us.

Maybe our notes app all look the same

Milly being hyper aware eloquently relates her mixed up muddled self that’s so identifiable, of navigating that transitioning time from teens to early adulthood.
I found I was definitely flicking back to those feeling and thoughts of that time that I’d left behind decades ago.
It’s a page turner or whatever the equivalent is if you’re listening on Audible 😊

Refreshing honesty.

I have never read a book from someone who is so generous with their vulnerability. You are such a bright light of confidence for anyone who has ever doubted themselves.
