Summary

How this book did not have any reviews yet is beyond me. For sure one of the best I have listened to in a long while. The characters are intensely likable, the story grabs you and the emotional moments are enhanced by the experience narration. This jumped instantly in my top 3 of favorite books and I will be re listening to this one many times in the future. Fantastic!

A few things i enjoyed the most, the writing of emotions of Veronica and Grace was overall well done though at times repetitive. Seeing Grace take steps towards her happiness and living for herself were the best parts of the story imo. I enjoyed the public super star aspect and how the general masses were portrayed and the reactions we got throughout the story.

As a person who loves low angst contemporary romance, I was shocked with how BORED i was with this book. The start is 10/10 on the emotional scale when you have no connection to these characters so it doesn't really work imo. After that moment though its just a slow meandering slog of feelings with no real peaks of emotion other than lust and i just found myself not caring. This book should of been my heaven, instead i nearly DNF'd it.

If you want a romance where the two get back together early on, rebuilding trust, choosing eachother even was scary, lots of VERY LONG spice scenes, are forgiving of repetitive feelings and writing with constant I love you's and terms of endearment. If that list interests you, give it a try. Some will find it perfect, exactly what they want. Others will DNF.
