Summary

As the son of a duke, Jace must marry and serve at court. This is a precarious position in a country at war and on the brink of revolt. I did really enjoy this book. I have given it 4 stars because although the book explores some very interesting topics like political and racial divides in societies I was left wanting while I was reading. I am used to reading series where most resided topics are explored thoroughly and there were missed opportunities. However when the book was finished I felt satisfied and I had a good time reading it.
