A friend of mine read this book and recommended it to me. I was most interested in reducing inflammation and joint health as I am constantly working out but always stiff. There was a lot about food that I didn't know, and I'm now experimenting with some new food and spice options. I felt like the writing was balanced and easy to understand. There were a lot of myths I believed, like carbs being the enemy. The book explained the difference between refined and whole carbs. I feel more balanced now that I’m not afraid of bread or pasta. It’s about the type, not total elimination. That really helped me enjoy food again.
