Reviewing audiobook listened at 1.4x speed

It's always a tossup for me whether a YA book will be enjoyable for me, but I can happily say that this was a fun (long) ride. Reading through this brought back memories of when I was a kid reading through The Last Dragon Chronicles. This is a collection of three trilogies so you will get to enjoy following a different group of characters throughout. The one I did have most enjoyment with was definitely The First Dragon Rider Trilogy (the first set within the collection) with Neill and Char as their character development and adventures really stuck out to me out of all of the stories. Return of the Darkening Series and Upon Dragon's Breath Trilogy were still a very fun read through and I can see myself coming back to this collection to revisit these adventures.

Tiffany Williams has done a wonderful job narrating all these stories and kept me entertained and hooked throughout the long journey.

This offering gives you over 75 hours of listening at normal rate. I do advise the normal rate as the narrator does a very good job of rendering male, female and dragons of different ages with the relevant emotion and is consistent throughout this set of three trilogies. Each trilogy has a different cast of main characters, but are all set in the same world so the communication with dragons and abilities are fairly consistent allowing for time differences. The first trilogy is First Dragon Rider comprising: Dragon God; Dragon Dreams and Dragon Mage. It introduces us to Neill Torvald (you'll hear that surname a lot later on) and how his alliance with a capable and determined female ally enabled him to overcome successively more difficult and threatening opposition. The second trilogy is the Return of the Darkening comprising: Dragon Trials; Dragon Legends and Dragon Bonds. These see the unlikely and socially unacceptable pairing of Thea and Seb not only overcoming prejudice, but a sinister and deadly threat, discovering who is behind this peril. The third trilogy is Upon Dragon's Breath comprising: Dragons of Wild; Dragons of Kings and Dragons of Dark. This sees the rightful, albeit reluctant, young king teaming up with Saffron to depose the usurper Enric who has a metal army at his command. Alliances are forged, treachery endured and good overcomes evil. Do listen in the order presented to appreciate the epic nature of these tales.
