About this listen

Cody Rivers is determined to be a rock star, but couch-surfing between bar shows gets old fast. Joining an a cappella group for a new singing competition show could be his last chance at real fame - unless the college boy from the heart of the country messes it up for him. Lucas Norwood is everything gothy, glittery Cody is not-conservative, clean-cut, and virginal. But when a twist in the show forces them together, even the sweetest songs get steamy as the attraction between them lights up the stage. Lucas wants to take it slow, but Cody's singing a different tune - and this time it may be a love song....

Contains mature themes.

A sweet and moving story. Good narration. Knew which character was speaking.
Stopped the story each time a song was mentioned to listen to it and imagine the music to go along with the story.
Listening to the music really brought the story to life.
It would be great if this story was made into a TV series with the music to go along with it, similar to Pitch Perfect, that would be awesome!

Sweet story worth a listen

Awesome listen with not too much angst, but still with an interesting story. Love the characters and how the relationship develops between Lucas and Cody, no pressure, just naturally progressing as they get comfortable with each others wants and needs. Nice to see the slight twist of the 'supportive' parents and 'inclusive' college too. Glad that the parents still did their best to stay in touch with their son despite their misgivings. Will be getting the rest of the series! Narration was highly satisfying, Brad King is a new to me narrator that is now on my favourites list! I feel that he brought the characters and the story to life. He has a lovely tone and is very fluid in his narrative style. Will also be looking up his other works!

Loved this one!

I absolutely loved it!

The progression of their love & relationship felt natural, nothing felt forced, no unnecessary angst, nothing was easily resolved, but the conclusion felt just as satisfying as if everything had been sorted to perfection.

I highly recommend 👍👍
