Summary

Patrick Laycal loves his family above all else, but he needs time off work from ruling over stubborn Texans. Rather than rest and relax, Pat does what he does best, sowing the seeds of chaos and progress wherever he goes.

Chronologically, this novel takes place after Taken, but due to the nature of the story, it is best listened to after Runaway and before the Prince of New York and New Waters.

I feel this story is an interesting addition to the story of Patrick, who features in two previous novels of the Royals of Texas. It completes and rounds out his story line, as in the last novel he was 'Taken' or kidnapped. Here he is in a more settled state and head of his family. I enjoyed it but feel people would need to read the previous novels he featured in to know the back story.
