Summary

Never believe that life in a tiny Spanish mountain village is predictable.

Vicky and Joe have finished fixing up their house and look forward to peaceful days enjoying their retirement. Then the fish van arrives and, instead of delivering fresh fish, disgorges the Ufarte family. The peace of El Hoyo is shattered. Packed with badly behaved humans and animals, irreverent humour and sunshine, this audiobook will make you laugh out loud.

Some real laugh out loud moments in this book and a lot of honesty. I have enjoyed following their antics.

Still enjoyable following their adventures

Great book loved it and do hope the other old fool books become available on here too. Thought the reader sounded a lot like Joyce Grenfel she was perfect.

I listened to book two as soon as I'd finished book one. It's a continuation of the first book & is just as much fun.

I really felt that I was there with Vicky & Joe in El Hoyo, it was lovely how they assimilated into village life so well & made such good friends. Why would anyone want to leave this idyllic life...

More Spanish shenanigans
