This book absolutely gutted me. It was so full of emotions, friendships, found family & love.
It was filled with hope, love, confusion, sadness, pain & healing.
I absolutely love the relationship between Delilah and her boys, I also love how incredibly selfless & loving she was.
This was an absolute emotional story that had me bawling multiple times.

A story that will move you like no other, one with gut-wrenching moments that will have you bawling your eyes out, so have those tissues ready. The story grabs your attention immediately and holds it captive the entire time. Cole lost his parents at a young age, and his mother’s dying wish was for him to find a love like she and his father had. He went to live with his grandmother, but after she passed away, they placed him in foster care when he made a friend, Xander. Xander and Cole went to the neighboring property, where they met Delilah, and the three bonded and became each other’s rocks through the challenges their young lives faced all the way into adulthood. When their love became too complicated, Xander stepped away, but his heart was always with them. The complexity and depth of this beautifully written multi-layered story is remarkable, and the story has the perfect balance of drama, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Nikki Ash, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Duncan Prescott, Marina Barrett, and Theo Sinclair are a trifecta of a narration team, with voices and talent that complement one another and a captivating performance that rivets you to the story. I loved how they took their roles and owned them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they expressed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

I will preface my review with the fact that I had literally no idea what the book was about going in, which is often the case with books I read. I have enjoyed a lot of this author's books so I jumped right in. It became clear pretty quickly that this was going to be a friends to lovers story and that it would involve more than two people. While the initial steamy encounter between the characters seemed not quite realistic, I did enjoy the deep friendship that these characters had and the amount of love between them. The bond they shared was something special, so that part of the book drew me in.

It becomes clear somewhat early on that this book is also not going to be conventional in any sense. It was clear it would be emotional, messy and complex. Again, though the friendship and loyalty between the characters kept me immersed in the story, though it was also clear where the story was going to lead. While I did find the book somewhat predictable, it did not really take away from the story for me. I listened to the audiobook, and I feel like it was really well done. Duncan Prescott, Marina Barrett and Theo Sinclair all did a great job bringing all the difficult emotions of this story to life, and I couldn't help but find myself feeling for each of the characters for different reasons.

While this isn't my typical go to type of read/listen, overall I thought the story was engaging and well written and I could really feel the love shared between the characters.

This book is a rollercoaster of every emotions. From the friendship Delilah, Xander and Cole have to the love and so much more. Tears, of all kinds and hot swooning moments . Oh the MMF is hot and beautiful.
The characters will pull you in and trust me you will fall in fall in love with them.
