About this listen

USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Megan Linski introduces a captivating three-book box set where fae find their shifter mates and royals battle for the right to rule.

Emma is a sorceress— but she doesn’t know it. A rare breed of fae, Emma is whisked away to a regal realm where dragons breathe fire, griffins fly, alicorns battle and wolves hunt monsters. In this land of pagan ritual and dark deception, a cult of shadow seeks her blood to raise a dark god, and the greatest danger of all could be her own mate.

Ethan is a disgraced wolf who desires to be king. He forged an unbreakable bond with Emma at first sight, but loving her means putting the country at risk. A prince by day and a vigilante by night, Ethan must keep his identity secret, or face execution.

An evil power seeks the monarchy, and if the nation falls into the wrong hands, chaos will reign. To find his way back to the throne, Ethan must make Emma his queen… and prove they deserve the crown at all costs.

Such a shame the reader had to change part way through.. it takes a while to get used to the characters again. Worth while sticking with as you really do end up investing in them. Max Pinkins is the fantastic constant.
Love the politics and current day issues made into the relatable fantasy plot and of course the adventure and romance.

Love this story!

There are problems with Mr Pinkins' recordings. Too much room echo, plosives and compression/background noise reduction artifacts

This would have been an ok boxset had the narrator been better. It wasn’t that noticeable in the sample but once I started listening to the full book the narrator started putting increased emphasis on random parts of a sentence. In addition she would regularly use the wrong tone of voice for the situation - eg excited voice when it should be sad.

Passable story, awful narration

very thrilling, and not what I expected. I honestly started listening 2 different times. the first time the females voice made me say no...I know that's weird, but she annoyed me...but then the second time, I kept listening and I'm so glad I did. Her voice free on me, and she's good at changing characters while performing the read. Emma and Ethan both annoy me with their dramatics, but I guess it's all apart of the charm of the book. Def worth the listen

"on the edge of my seat"

Great story but there are a few things that let it down.
1. The accents of the female narrator are highly jarring! And her exaggerated pronunciation of any word thag begin with L.

2. The male narrator, where ever he is has an awful echo. Also I can now hear another dialogue very faintly.. It sounds almost like another story is being whispered really quietly underneath this one... Kind of creepy!

Great story but
