Coming to these books from Sanderson, it was quite a ride! I had to check couple of times that I didn't accidentally download the abridged version.

A bit more steady pace would be to my liking, but will listen the rest of the books based on the first one.

a really good take on the cultivation trope. I personally enjoyed that the MC didn't instantly become OP

Poor value for money in terms of audible time/credit. Should really be grouped into a collection of four at least. Otherwise would stay clear of this series unless you only want to listen for a very short time.

Good story but too short! (last hour is just another preview)

I often support authors whose books have brought me great joy before when they start croudfinding campaigns, but when I've encountered that of Will Wight's I've realized I haven't read anything from him. Although the books were pretty and the synopsis seemed intriguing, I didn't want to judge them by such superficial means so I've decided to pick up the first installment before the campaign ends. Oh boy, I can't put it into words how happy I am that I did!

This was indeed the most entertaining book I've read/listened to throughout the year. It was a light read, perfectly paced, had a great story complemented with skillful world building - that although informative, never felt like reading an encyclopedia -, it was full of interesting characters and had a nice magic system too. And that was just the writing part of things, when it comes to the audio book I must emphasize that Travis Baldree's exceptional performance has elevated it even further. His impersonation of the character managed to give each and every one of them a soul. Lady characters were distinguishable, but never sounded whiny, they also radiated power and confidence as they should have in this setting. Thank you, for such a wonderful experience.

Although I've just started on this journey myself, after listening to the first installment I can only recommend this series, as I'm very much looking forward to immersing myself in the world of Cradle again.
