A bit more steady pace would be to my liking, but will listen the rest of the books based on the first one.

This was indeed the most entertaining book I've read/listened to throughout the year. It was a light read, perfectly paced, had a great story complemented with skillful world building - that although informative, never felt like reading an encyclopedia -, it was full of interesting characters and had a nice magic system too. And that was just the writing part of things, when it comes to the audio book I must emphasize that Travis Baldree's exceptional performance has elevated it even further. His impersonation of the character managed to give each and every one of them a soul. Lady characters were distinguishable, but never sounded whiny, they also radiated power and confidence as they should have in this setting. Thank you, for such a wonderful experience.
Although I've just started on this journey myself, after listening to the first installment I can only recommend this series, as I'm very much looking forward to immersing myself in the world of Cradle again.
