About this listen

Enter a world of mystery, suspense, sin, and heart-wrenching emotion with Helen Hardt's new series!

When love and vengeance collide…

Raven Bellamy is a survivor. She stared down cancer and won, emerging stronger and more determined to savor every moment of the life she nearly lost. Whether it's inhaling the scent of every rose or basking in each sunrise on her family’s ranch, Raven is living on her own terms.

Vincent Gallo, Jr. spent seventeen years running from a past drenched in blood. Now he’s back with a singular purpose—to destroy his mafia family from within. He’s prepared for the darkness ahead, ready to sacrifice anything and everything to fulfill his mission.

Until he meets Raven Bellamy. Her resilience, her beauty, her spirit—despite the scars of her battle—ignite a passion in him that he thought was long dead. She haunts his thoughts, turning his carefully laid plans upside down. Vinnie knows he can’t drag her into his deadly world, but he also can't stay away.

Raven is no stranger to fighting for what she wants, and the blazing chemistry between them is impossible to ignore. She’s not about to let Vinnie walk away, even if it means stepping into the shadows he inhabits.

As the stakes escalate, the line between duty and desire blurs. Vinnie is ready to sacrifice everything—even his relationship with Raven—for vengeance.

I hate to say it but I find it hard to get past the male narrator. His voice sounds so put on, like this is what he thinks he should sound like, not what he actually sounds like. It’s like bad acting. It really detracts from the story.
