I really wanted to enjoy this book as I have read accounts from other services during Vietnam and other wars but never a gunship pilot and I was intrigued to find out what it was like for them. Throughout the book there were hints at interesting stories but it never really seemed to get going, events are just passed over with little detail and then more detail will be given to monotonous events instead.
