One to re listen over and over, hearing the true account on the Pacific war the horrors the humour, you could have been sat listening really good. The after the war very moving and sad, but great to hear what happened to them. Let’s never forget the old breed

This was a very interesting listen. The individual accounts brought the likes of the Pacific TV series to life.
I do have a few gripes though. The narration would have been better if multiple voices gave the individual accounts.
The section at the end of the book where the veterans give us their modern day views is at time outrageous and very controversial. There was no need for this section. It detracts from the book altogether.
