A fantastic story of wanting what you shouldn’t have. The pull and pull between Galen and Sariel, the vampire and fallen Angel/ watcher that shares his consciousness is just riveting. Constantly wondering who was going to win out. Then there is Reece, the human woman they are struggling over for. For years, Sariel has been dormant, but Reece awakens him, and if looking for and hoping he’s found his soulmate isn’t enough, the fallen are wanting back into Heaven and need Sariel to do it. Enter a fight to survive too. Such an enthralling story and I’m looking forward to the next book. Having read other spin-off series first, it was fun seeing some familiar characters show up.

Will M Watt and Susan Fouche perform this book in duet. I love Will and thought he did a great job for the most part. This was my first Susan book, and I feel that her performance wasn’t for me.

True to her style, she doesn't hold back..... not one little bit. I love her stories, but have to mentally prepare before diving in. I know it's going to be a bumpy ride, filled with intense edge of your seat suspense, emotions that are all over the place, pleasure and pain sex, and plot twists you won't see coming! As with any good Kim Loraine story, she really puts her characters through the ringer with tortured pasts, secrets, and lives who will cross paths, and intertwine in mysterious ways. This tale obsession was dark, twisted, and I was totally mesmerized.... couldn't stop listening, even if I wanted too!
The narration was awesome! Watt and Fouche really knows how to capture all the dark emotions, bring the characters to life, and suck the listener right in.
