I have really enjoyed Heidi Swains books and this is no exception. All of her books are such an easy listen with no swearing or violence and just a happy read.

This story was really lovely and beautifully read by Karen Cass as always.

I want to start by saying thank you to the wonderful author Heidi Swain, Simon and Shuster audio, Netgalley and narrator Karen Cass for writing, narrating, producing and allowing me to read such a wonderful book.

As to be expected from Heidi, this a beautifully written love story. From intricately described scenery to well-rounded characters, she creates a world where the reader can completely immerse themselves. You feel like you actually know the characters personally, that you have visited the village of Willowell and walked through Willowell woods alongside Tilly. I particularly enjoyed the relationship that forms between Tilly and Constance, it feels likes it’s the friendship both have unknowingly been searching for. As for Tilly’s meet cute with the handsome stranger, I like that it’s not the only chance meeting between them before they actually start to get to know each other properly. I felt it added to their connection and built-up anticipation for what may happen between them, if anything.

As always, Karen Cass brings both the characters and the story to life. She is the perfect choice for Heidi’s books as she has a true grasp on how to add meaning to the dialogue and where emphasis is required to specific scenes or events.

I sincerely hope this is just the first book in a new series set in Willowell.
