About this listen

Questioning thousands of parents and educators, Dr. Wayne Dyer learned firsthand what people really want for their children. They don't particularly want their kids to go to fancy schools, acquire riches, or live "the good life". They do want them to have personal integrity and high self-esteem, and to grow up with love and peace in their hearts. Children raised the Wayne Dyer way feel useful and needed. They are inner- rather than outer-directed. They live a stress-free life naturally, without resorting to drugs.

Wayne W. Dyer, Ph.D., is a recognized leader in the field of self-development. He is a popular lecturer, psychotherapist, and best-selling author. An award-winning speaker, he was elected to the International Speakers Hall of Fame and awarded the prestigious Golden Gavel Award from Toastmasters International. He is the author of many best-selling Nightingale-Conant programs including How to Be a No-Limit Person, Wisdom of the Ages, Transformations, Freedom Through Higher Awareness, and The Secrets to Manifesting Your Destiny. Articles by Dr. Dyer have appeared in such national publications as Reader's Digest, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, Family Circle, and New Women. He is married and the father of five children.

I love the work of Wayne Dyer - he speaks a lot of sense and with three teenagers I need all the sense I can lay my hands on! This isn't unabridged but rather a collection of broadcasts he has made on the subject and includes a beautiful letter that he wrote to a partly fictional version of his mum. We all know that teenagers are fighting battles with us as they learn but this confirms that we have to make them responsible for their actions and we have to just love them, nothing more and nothing less. Not always easy to remember!

Not the full unabridged version but still very good
