About this listen

Her dream job just became her worst nightmare…

My name is Rose, and I work for one of the country’s biggest newspapers. I was the Day Editor. Will Frost was the Night Editor.

When I got to the office, Will had already left. When I left, Will arrived. We were two sides of the same coin.

Last week, Will disappeared from floor 34 without a trace. Now I am the Night Editor.

And I have a feeling I’m next.

A tense, thrilling rollercoaster ride with twists and turns that will make your head spin. Perfect for fans of ADELE PARKS and RUTH WARE.

Another gripping read. Lots of twists and turns and really engaging characters. Well narrated. I didn’t want to put it down. Can’t wait for the next one!

Another gripping read

I am an audio ‘book reader’.
I am time precious so pop in my air pods, carry on with the task in hand, and get engrossed in my latest book.

Having listened to Caroline Corcoran’s 3 previous books I pre ordered, and eagerly awaited ‘What Happened on Floor 34.

I was not disappointed.
I own up to having ‘binge’ listened.

I love a narrative with twists and turns… trying to predict what is coming next.
This is the very first book that I have listened to where I audibly gasped at a plot twist…. absolutely did not see it coming.

Keep them coming Caroline. I patiently await the next one.

‘Well worth the wait’

Really liked the narration and had hopes that this would be a good novel ('cos have had a run of lousy ones). Started well and I was soon engaged but gradually my interest waned and I just wanted the story to be driven forward instead of somehow stagnating. Skipped chapters in the middle and tried to catch up nearer the end - but still it stalled. So had no choice but to give up and hope my next choice would be better.

Started well but dragged on

Having worked for national newspapers, and worked the night shift, I was intrigued to read this book but my god... I was irritated by the sloppy writing, weird and lazy metaphors, and the bad plotting and pacing, but I persevered wondering what had happened to will the night editor. His disappearance has been investigated by the police etc. yet two thirds in, the author realises Will was actually a nickname for a woman named willow. sorry but it is just RIDICULOUS that the character didn't even know the gender of the editor, especially given the police investigation. honestly it felt like maybe the author was drunk when she wrote this because it was one of the worst and sloppiest books I've read.

this was soooo bad
