A very good book, the story was told beautifully , however the sex scenes were a little explicit at times!

definitely worth a listen, very chilled and easy to listen. I am continuing on to the next book in this series with high hopes for one of the characters. this story was quite close to a similar experience ofy own and will probably feel the same for many others <3

I wasn't prepared because I went in blind. I liked the cover. The ebook was free, and the audiobook is part of audible subscription, and the author was attending RARE London 2025. So, what could go wrong, right?!
Well, our FMC has cancer, she has been dealing with it for quite some time and Amanda Maxlyn doesn't shy away from describing in painful detail the emotional and physical tool it has on the patient and their families. I lost my mum to cancer at the end of 2024, so it felt a bit too much for me. I should've checked the blurb.
So, be prepared for the 🗡 in the heart.
Their romance was beautiful and quite spicy, tough. It's a shame I can't read the 2nd book.
