It’s nice to have a different take on the Fae. This genre is drowning in a lot of the same, and this brought something new to the table. The characters developed at a good pace and the building connection between the FMC and MMC didn’t seem forced. The secret in the letter was by far a surprise, but will certainly fuel the remaining books in the series. I finished this really quickly and felt invested in the characters and where things will lead to them.

Entertaining for sure. Worth a credit. I loved the slow-burn here as it was very descriptive. This story does Open up a new world one can so clearly see & enjoy.

Sabine & Bastin/Wolf was well developed and well scripted. For me… the whole tale felt a little darker than what I expected, however … it was a very good unexpected. The landscape development was lush & rich. The characters fitting well within the story. The steam between the forbidden love interest was very steamy and if not careful such clandestine tryst will come to a head once in book two- as now we know all the key players and their motives & history. Hero’s & villains are about to be in their full element, open and on full display. And one can only wonder; WHAT NOW?!?!

Me… I’m about to go find such things out… the narration was very well done…

Ps … And Bastin’s character will definitely be in the running of future book boyfriend material. Just saying, (grinning)

Interesting New Take … on the over processed “Fae Realm”

Evie does an astounding to job at portraying Yearning and desire unlike any other modern writer. ' I would cut out my still beating heart and hand it to her, while smiling. Damn!
Beyond the desire and Yearning there is intrigue, betrayal, awakening gods, mystical animals and the looming war.
I am in for wherever she leads me. Don't miss out on the adventure.
