I decided to work my way through the Shetland series as I have listened to quite a few of the Vera series. I have enjoyed listening to these very much.The narrator is excellent. The description of the location is amazing. The listener is instantly transported to the moody, haunting cliff tops and hills surrounding the Crofts. The main character Detective Jimmy Perez has moved to Lerwick to start anew ,so his personal life is intertwined throughout the chapters as the intrigue and suspense builds to solve the crimes ,within a tight- knit community keeping secrets of the past.I look forward to listening to what happens next!
