Summary

Danger, destiny, and romance on the river. A wilderness kayak adventure brings together two very different women - Chaz Herrick, a laid-back outdoorswoman, and Megan Maxwell, a workaholic news executive. As they battle the challenges of nature for survival, they discover that true love may be nothing at all like they imagined.

A romantic adventure in a wilderness wonderland.

Would you consider the audio edition of Whitewater Rendezvous to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version of this book. The story was well written so I would be more than happy to read it.

What other book might you compare Whitewater Rendezvous to, and why?

I would say that the book most reminded me of something Gerri Hill wrote called Angel Fire. Its not about the same things but the way it was written and they way it made me imagine the wilderness.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I liked the scene with the hot springs and Megan hiding away thinking she has just found out the truth when really what you see can always be misinterpreted. It was a good way to add more edge to the characters relationship.

Any additional comments?

Very good book to listen to, only criticism is that I would of liked the story to last a little longer. The chapters are very long so it tricks you in to thinking you have a lot longer left in the story than what you actually do. But it was a very good book and I will definitely be listening to it a second time around.

Aside from the mosquitos of Alaska there's little not to like about this exciting and interesting book. Yes, the emotional resonance could be a little more developed and yes, the narrator could make it easier to differentiate who is saying what, BUT this is a lesbian love story tied in with a great adventure, told well and in a beautifully described landscape - so what's not to love?!
