This is Lori and Rex's story. It lovely to read a story where the leads are older. The plot is good and the dilemma the characters face is realistic. I will be reading more in this series.

Wolf's Midlife Baby book 12 in Shifter Nation: Marked Over Forty by Meg Ripley is another drama filled fated mates romance, with great relatable characters and excellent worldbuilding. Elle Sonali as always does a fabulous job in bringing this story to life. I have so enjoyed reading this series as well as all of Ms. Ripley's other books. Highly recommend!!

Wolf’s Midlife Baby is filled with drama and excitement. Bear shifter Holly is a journalist with a strong sense of self, and her sizzling connection to wolf shifter Pierce is undeniable. And yet, she and Pierce each deny their sizzle for the other and try really hard to fight their feelings. The villain of this story, Kyle, is quite annoying and not very bright, and it’s interesting watching Holly try to navigate him on her own. I love how Pierce and his pack step up for her, and the poignant family moments are so sweet. The narrator did a lovely job performing the various roles, infusing her voice with enthusiasm, excitement, fear, or whatever the situation called for. Her voice was easy to listen to, and each character had a distinct energy about them. This was a highly entertaining story.

This is book 12 in the Shifter Nation: Marked Over Forty series, a shifter romance. I really like this series! This short story is fun, entertaining, and engaging.
